Check-in/check-out at the Village Hotel
Our check-in times are from 3pm until 9pm.
It is not possible to check in outside of these hours unless you have agreed a different time in writing or on the telephone. Please get in touch with us personally if you expect to arrive late.
Your room or apartment will be ready for you from 3pm. We cannot guarantee access to your room or apartment prior to this time. However, we would be pleased to store your luggage at the hotel.
Check-out times are from 8am until 10am.
If you are leaving before 8am, we kindly request that you settle the bill for your room the evening beforehand. We would be happy to prepare a packed lunch for you if you need to leave before breakfast.
It may be possible to check out later depending on availability, please speak to us about this when booking. Please note that in this case, you may incur extra charges.
Alternatively it is possible to store your luggage at our hotel on the day of departure so that you can make the most of an extra day exploring the Bavarian Forest.
When is reception staffed?
Reception is staffed every day from 8am until 11am and from 2.30pm until 9pm.
You can contact us by telephone during the night in an emergency.
Standard double room or comfort double room - what is the difference?
Our standard rooms are very well-appointed and ensure that you will have a pleasant stay at our hotel.
If you wish to take advantage of additional comfort, our modern comfort rooms are available. For an additional charge of just EUR 20 per night, you can book the following additional amenities:
- Views across the valley
- Higher quality, new furnishings and box spring bed
- Some rooms have walk-in showers
- Dimmable ceiling lighting in the living and sleeping area
- Fridge
- Coffee maker with crockery
- Kettle
- Safe
All of our rooms and holiday apartments are non-smoking.
The beds in the double rooms have two mattresses, two duvets and two pillows. Our suites and holiday apartments each have a double bed and two to three single beds and are suitable for three to five people.
All of the hotel’s family suites have a bath tub. Due to their position under the sloping roof, showering is only possible to a limited extent.
Cancellation policy: How can I cancel my booking?
Cancellations are free of charge up until 7 days before arrival for standard and best price rates.
Cancellations after this period will be charged at 90% of the total amount.
Non-cancellable rates cannot be cancelled or amended free of charge.
Did you book via an online booking portal such as Booking.com, HRS or Kurzurlaub?
These bookings must be cancelled on the respective platform.
Is breakfast included in the price?
Our standard and best price rates are inclusive of breakfast. The business rate only includes the overnight stay, breakfast is not included. However, you are welcome to add breakfast to your booking.
Free parking
The Village Hotel Bayerischer Wald has ample on-site parking spaces. We kindly request your understanding that unfortunately it is not possible to reserve specific spaces.
Visitor’s tax
The visitor’s tax in Neukirchen is currently EUR 0.80 per person per night. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from the visitor’s tax. A visitor’s tax is charged in many tourist regions and serves to cover the cost of maintaining and improving tourist infrastructure.
Which credit cards does the hotel accept?
The hotel accepts Maestro, debit cards, Visa and Mastercard.
Restaurant and opening times
Our restaurant is situated on the first floor in the main building.
Breakfast buffet from 7.30am until 10am
Evening buffet from 6pm until 8pm
Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant.
Would you like to add our buffet-style evening meal to your booking?
You are welcome to add the buffet-style evening meal to your booking after arrival for a charge of EUR 24. Children aged 0-3 years dine free of charge and children aged between 4 and 11 years are charged at EUR 12. The booking must be made no later than 10am on the respective day.
Is there a smoking area?
Smoking is permitted on our restaurant terrace and in the outdoor area. All of our rooms and holiday apartments are non-smoking areas.
Are pets welcome?
Dogs are permitted in some rooms. Please enquire about availability before arrival. We charge EUR 17 per dog per night. A maximum of two dogs are allowed per booking. Other pets are not permitted. Thank you very much for your understanding.
Information about bicycles and e-bikes
The Village Hotel is the perfect starting point for bicycle and e-bike tours in the Bavarian Forest. You can begin your cycling tour right here at our hotel. The attractive Danube-Regen Cycle Path and the popular Danube Cycle Path are situated nearby.
Our hotel does not offer its own bicycle hire service, however there are various options in the local area.
We offer our guests a bicycle storage room with charging points for e-bikes.
