Urlaub im Village Hotel im Bayerischen Wald

Discover a corner of the primeval forest

The Bavarian Forest is one of the last remaining primeval forests in central Europe. Here, you can experience unspoilt nature and culture in its original form. Conquer the summits of Großer Arber and co. and marvel at rare flora and fauna. Circular trails, informative themed hikes, forest playgrounds and places to stop off for refreshments make summer at the Village Hotel Bayerischer Wald unforgettable.

Dive in and let yourself drift

Who can say no to a swimming trip? In the area surrounding the Village Hotel Bayerischer Wald you will find all kinds of water fun in the form of natural swimming pools, waterparks, thermal springs and natural bathing lakes. Our closest bathing lake is located in the spa gardens in St. Englmar. At other lakes in the Bavarian Forest you also have the opportunity to try sailing, boating and even water-skiing. No matter what the weather, you can take the plunge at waterparks such as Aquatherm in Straubing or elypso in Deggendorf.

The Forest Treetop Path in St. Englmar, Maibrunn, is our tip for all those who want to discover the Bavarian Forest from a completely new perspective. 30 metres above the ground, high up in the trees, prise the secrets from the treetops and enjoy a fantastic view of the mountain ranges of the national park from the forest observation tower. What’s more, there’s also a llama, alpaca and kangaroo enclosure, an adventure trail and a path of optical phenomena in the grounds. Have an adrenalin-fuelled time on Bavaria’s longest rollercoaster at the voglwuide freizeitland amusement park in St. Englmar.
